The charitable work of Tools with a Mission is to collect unwanted tools, refurbish them, sort them into trade kits and send them across the world for livelihood creation. We send around 20 containers filled with over 300 tonnes of tools every year. To do this we rely on a national volunteer workforce and welcome people of all ages and abilities and of any faith and no faith.
We do this because we want to support local people supporting their own communities through sustainable livelihood creating projects. We believe there is dignity through work and the ability to provide for yourself and your family. We believe entire communities can be transformed through training and the provision of tool kits and equipment

St James’ Church, Elmbridge Borough Council and the Weybridge Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) are working in partnership to encourage local businesses to join the Alliance and support communities in becoming more dementia-friendly.
The Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) was launched in 2012 as part of the Prime Minister’s Challenge on Dementia. We are a national network with local coordinators who help local businesses and organisations to identify changes they can make to become more dementia-friendly.
Membership is FREE.
DAA Members include businesses, community groups, faith groups, schools and colleges, libraries, museums, shopping centres and charities as well as health and social care providers. All members commit to making small changes (known as Actions) within their organisations which benefit people with dementia, and very often their wider local community.
DAA Members are encouraged to become affiliated to their Local Dementia Action Alliance group (LDAA) – a group of local stakeholders who have the expertise to help steer their local organisations in the right direction to becoming truly dementia-friendly communities. This grassroots approach ensures that specific local concerns are addressed.
