Cynthia Gifford (Chair)- Retired health visitor having completed her SRN (now RN) at Kings College Hospital London, Midwifery and District Nurse training. She later lectured at Crawley College of Further Education in the Social Care School.
Margaret Aileen Hicks (Vice-Chair) – retired Surrey County Councillor. As well as being a trustee of Central Surrey Voluntary Action, she is also a governor of Surrey & Borders NHS Trust, a Trustee of Action for Carers Surrey, Elmbridge Multi-Faith Forum.
Rachel Sandra Turner- Has been a trustee for Voluntary Action Mid Surrey for 5 years, now Central Surrey Voluntary Action and previously for Central Surrey CVS. Rachel has extensive experience in local authorities. She has senior management experience in Volunteer Management and Human Resources having worked for a national Children’s charity.
Freda Elizabeth Stephenson – worked as a social worker for 40 years starting her career in Bradford, West Yorkshire before moving South and working in Surrey. Most of her career was as a social worker for adults with learning disabilities but she also worked as a social worker in a local hospice.
Sonia Hubbard – worked in academic publishing for 20 years, as Editorial/Production Director before moving into the voluntary sector. She worked for 10 years in a development role with all the Voluntary Actions in Surrey. Since January 2015, Sonia has been CEO of Age Concern Mole Valley, she has extensive experience in the voluntary and community sector and considerable business expertise. Sonia also volunteers as an advisor for the Community Foundation for Surrey.
