Cynthia Gifford (Chair)- Retired health visitor having completed her SRN (now RN) at Kings College Hospital London, Midwifery and District Nurse training. She later lectured at Crawley College of Further Education in the Social Care School.
Revd Nicholas Anthony Parish – 30 years of experience as a Minister and has worked extensively with and directly for the voluntary sector. He is currently Parish Priest of St Martin’s Epsom.
Leonard John Hobhouse Beighton (Cb Ma) spent his career working in the Inland Revenue. Since retiring he has spent much of his time working for his Church and for a very wide range of international, national and local charities and for non-governmental organisations.
Margaret Aileen Hicks – retired Surrey County Councillor. As well as being a trustee of Central Surrey Voluntary Action, she is also a governor of Surrey & Borders NHS Trust, a Trustee of Action for Carers Surrey, Elmbridge Multi-Faith Forum.
Robert Frisby – set up and run a new Council for Voluntary Service in Mid Surrey (now operating as Central Surrey Voluntary Action). He undertook the role of Director for 14 years before retiring. Bob has been a member, and past President, of the Rotary Club of Epsom. He also sat on and acted as independent Chair of the Epsom and Ewell Borough Council’s Standards Committee.
Rachel Sandra Turner- Has been a trustee for Voluntary Action Mid Surrey for 5 years, now Central Surrey Voluntary Action and previously for Central Surrey CVS. Rachel has extensive experience in local authorities. She has senior management experience of Volunteer Management and Human Resources having worked for a national Children’s charity.
Claire Robertson – worked in the voluntary sector in Surrey for the last 30 years. She is also a trustee of both a youth organisation and a specialist dementia charity in another borough.
Beverly Gail Mann – Over 35 years of experience in business, 20 years in senior management and consultancy positions for global corporates.
Colin John Fleming Drage (Fca) – Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has been in professional practice for most of his career of over 50 years and has also had active involvements in commercial businesses.
Freda Elizabeth Stephenson – worked as a social worker for 40 years starting her career in Bradford, West Yorkshire before moving South and working in Surrey. Most of her career was as a social worker for adults with learning disabilities but she also worked as a social worker in a local hospice.
Nabil Mohamed Mustapha MB. BCh., FRCS, LRCP, MRCS – Retired Surgeon and Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine, Herts NHS. Founding member of Egyptian Medical Society, UK (1985) and Elmbridge Multifaith Forum (2004).
