The Aspire Supported Volunteering Project which has been running in Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell and Mole Valley for nearly 10 years. The project is aimed at people who need additional support to carry out volunteering in their community. The Social prescribing project which links member of the public who needs extra help and assistance to improve their quality of life to the community and voluntary organisations in Banstead and Mole Valley. Visit our social prescribing page to find out more. Our third project Elmbridge Friendship and Fishing Group, which launched on the Thursday 30 May. This is a volunteer lead community fishing group, open to all ages and abilities who are interested in fishing and making new friends surrounded by relax and tranquil surrounds of apps court in Elmbridge. The latest project is the 10-today Supported Exercise Programme, designed for people over 55 and/or people with limited mobility who would like to take up light exercise in the comfort of their own homes. The six weeks programme will be delivered by with dedicated volunteer 10-Today Champions who will guide the users through the weekly exercises. The sessions will be delivered through Zoom or over the telephone and the 10 minutes exercises are fun, easy to do and are designed to minimise the impact on your joints while giving you a good workout to maintain and improve your health and wellbeing.
