We are looking for volunteers to go out bowling with a small group on Wednesday afternoons 1.30 - 5.30 pm. This is a fun social activity for a new group which has been set up by Community Inclusive Activity Team.
The adults we support have sight loss and other disabilities so being able to access the community and be a part of it is very important to them, especially after these last 2 years.
During the school holidays they will be a walking group instead. The volunteer’s role would be to guide, to support, and to encourage. This will be a rewarding and fun activity. They will always be working with a member of the CIAT team and training will be given on safeguarding and sighted guiding.
Good communication, patience, friendly and encouraging.
A DBS will be required.
