Bumps and Babes is a drop-in service for all expectant parents and parents of newborn babies and children up to walking age. It is run by local parents as an informal, welcoming forum for local parents to meet up. Tea and coffee are provided as are toys for the babies and a library of relevant books for the parents. It is held every Tuesday 10.30 to 12:30pm and attracts an average of 10 parents (and babies) each week. We host guest speakers (covering topics on the early days of parenting) once a month, which are very popular. The co-ordinator needs help looking after any attendees by offering teas and coffees and to ensure everyone feels welcome and acknowledged. The Manning Room sits in the grounds of St Ignatius Church. There is plenty of parking on site. A number of buses (including the 235) go along Green Street and there is a bus stop outside the Church.
