The Centre is a fantastic resource in the heart of the community of Addlestone. It is used by a number of local groups and club. We are looking for a volunteer to, in conjunction with the Centre Chairman, promote the day to day operation of the Centre by:
· Planning, promoting and developing new activities and events. Particularly for those with specific needs i.e. the elderly and the lonely.
· Coordinating advertising and promotional aids to communicate the activities and events held at the Centre to the residents of the area.
· Meeting with other agencies and create active links in the development of facilities and events for those with specific needs and to promote health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting new role that could make a real difference to the local community. We have been able to obtain funding to support this post and projects. Although not a paid position, expenses will be reimbursed.
Skills and personal characteristics:
Understanding of health and safety and hygiene and relevant procedures
Listening and communication skills
Enthusiasm to learn
Self motivation and ability to use own initiative
Good literacy skills and basic IT skills
Ability to work independently and have good communication skills
All training will be given.
DBS check may be required
This is a flexible role that can fit in with the time you have availble.
