Lead with Purpose – Chairperson for TALK Surrey (SH)
Make a life-changing impact by leading a small but vital charity supporting stroke survivors with aphasia. TALK Surrey empowers people to rebuild confidence and communication through supportive, structured group sessions — and we’re seeking a Chairperson to guide our mission forward.

What TALK Surrey does - Supports stroke survivors with aphasia to improve speech, confidence, and social inclusion.

As Chairperson, you will:
Lead bi-monthly committee meetings (in Guildford)
• Support the TALK Co-ordinator and Fundraiser
• Represent TALK at health authority and community meetings
• Help guide policy on volunteer management and patient referrals
• Stay informed on health funding and services

What skills do I need?

Ideal skills and attributes:
• Strong leadership, people and listening skills
• Good IT literacy and organisational ability
Empathy and excellent social communication
• Background in health, charity, education or management is a plus

This role is ideal for someone based near Guildford with the time and commitment to help shape a small charity making a big difference.
