For St Peter's Centre
This is an opportunity to volunteer time to support a specialist educational setting. St Peter's Centre is a short stay school for students with medical needs.They nurture students to ensure their well-being and health needs are met and challenge them to build resilience, courage and determination to achieve the best possible outcomes.
They are looking for someone from the local community to join their Management Committee, which provides strategic leadership and accountability, sets the ethos of the school and acts as a critical friend to the Headteacher, who is responsible for the day to day running of the school.
Commitment
Members serve a term of 2 years which can be extended at the end of the term
Management committee members attend meetings 3-4 times a year (currently this is approximately 4pm-6pm)
Members are encouraged to visit the school during the school day (approx. 3 times a year)
Members are encouraged to identify a particular interest eg health and safety, ICT, special educational needs, premises management, safeguarding
Members are expected to complete safeguarding training to ensure a full understanding of this vital aspect of our work
