Freewheelers work in Music, Drama, Dance and Media, working with disabled and non-disabled artists using theatre, dance, film, music and animation. We achieve high production standards alongside a person-centred approach. We entertain, innovate, collaborate and challenge perceptions.

We are looking for a Costume Volunteer for our Degas Dance Project -

To provide costume support working on dance project 'Degas' due to be performed

in March 2022. The help needed is as follows:

1. To work with dance director to source the final few pieces needed if possible.

2. To work with each dancer and dance volunteer, to try on costumes and make

up their own individual costume bag.

3. To highlight any alterations/different sizes needed etc and report back to

dance director.

4. To attend final dress rehearsals and help dress dancers and highlight and

support where quick changes may be needed

5. To attend rehearsals/filming/performance at theatre and work with dance

volunteers and dancers to manage where costumes are to be placed (dressing

rooms or wings) for best access.

6. To help dancers pack away costumes at end of performance

What skills do I need?

· Basic sewing, dressmaking experience essential but no formal qualifications necessary

· Interest in art & costume design would be helpful

· Friendly, kind disposition required.
