Manage the day to day running of one of our busiest fridge sites.

The Volunteer Manager will manage a team of over 20 volunteers that collect food, clean the fridges and operate the fridge during open hours.

The manager will be responsible for on site training of new recruits and working with the Volunteers Director to maintain adequate team numbers to ensure smooth running of the fridge.

The Community Fridge is at The Christian Centre, St Martins Walk, Dorking

The applicant should ideally be based in Dorking or surrounding villages.

What skills do I need?

Excellent communication skills, to work with our volunteers, manager and directors, the Centre Management and Staff and the general public.

Organised and computer literate – using Google Sheets to run volunteer rota, WhatsApp to manage daily communications and emails.

Knowledge of Social Media – to monitor and respond to messages from fridge clients..

Availability Details

Communication via messaging and emails can occur daily but time spent on administrative duties are flexible. The manager can spend approximately 10 hours per week dealing with Fridge admin and duties.
