We are looking for volunteers who can bring Painshill alive for our school groups. Delivering an education programme to accompany the restoration of the Crystal Grotto could include helping to deliver educational activities. You could also help in other ways, such as sewing costumes or making models.
What would you do?
-Welcome a variety of different groups to Painshill, including schools, Brownies, Scouts and groups with special needs
-Help to supervise and run fun, flexible educational events - treasure hunts, bug hunts, pond dipping and camp building out in the landscape, craft activities in our Abercorn room, dressing up in 18th century costume, storytelling, etc
-If you would rather help behind the scenes then you can be part of a team which helps to create and maintain resources: for example, sewing our historical costumes, making art and craft models, keeping a photographic/multi-media record of activities and helping us with administrative duties
-Help to decorate for special events such as Christmas and Halloween
-Help in our Christmas Grotto
A motivated individual who can use their initiative and manage a range of activities and large groups of young people or adults, including those with disabilities. A DBS check will be required for this role. Previous experience of working with children and those with disabilities would be an advantage but is not essential.
