Our aim is to improve the green space and woods of Merstham for people and wildlife. We plant trees (mainly fruit) and hedges, create wildflower area, cut down overly dense woods to encourage woodland flowers, create habitat woodpiles, put up bird and bee boxes etc. We meet twice a month each session is around 2 - 4 hours, always on a Saturday.
None, you will just need to be able to do gardening and be physically fit. We'll explain how to do tasks. Free tea and cake provided, plus tools and basic training on the day. You will need to wear sturdy footwear and waterproofs if wet. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian adult.
We meet twice a month always on a Saturday from 10am - 2pm. The site location varies but is in Merstham, normally grounds near the estate.
