The Camberley Alzheimer Cafe is looking for a Fundraiser to develop and maintain the fundraising activities of the Cafe.
This could include organising events, identifying and engaging with prospective local donors who might be individuals, businesses or groups and associations, and writing (or assisting in the writing of) funding applications to trusts and/or health services and Surrey Heath Borough Council. This may include using social media to publicise events (such as Twitter and Facebook).
This is a new role to work with the current fundraiser and support them in ensuring the organisation has ongoing sufficient funding to undertake training, run its monthly cafe and support all its members.
Previous experience of fund raising would be a real advantage but bid writing and identifying funds can be supported by the local Voluntary Support office.
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Support will be provided.
You should have a passion to help people living with dementia.
IT skills essential as well as social media awareness.
