Were you a Brownie or Girl Guide? I hope most of you would have found it fun!
We in Surrey West are always on the look out for
new Guide Leaders. We need friendly
people to help run existing units, and we would like to open new units to
reduce the long waiting lists of girls wanting to join us.
Girls make friends with others from different cultures and schools and work together in teams to have fun and to achieve skills, which are rewarded with badges. They learn to help each other, listening to other people’s opinions and ideas before deciding as a group how they will tackle an activity. They are challenged to think for themselves and be considerate to others. Girls gain confidence to think and act within a safe environment - everyone is an important member of the team.
Leaders of Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, and Ranger units are all volunteers and give their time, knowledge and commitment every week. They also help at Brownie Pack Holidays and Guide Camps, which the girls really enjoy. They enjoy helping girls to become confident young women and enjoy meeting other like-minded people -
a fun and rewarding experience!
Could you please thinking about helping us?
We are looking for Guiders who are caring, capable, enthusiastic and an interest in the Guilding movement.
Groups in Camberley meet on different days of the week during the late afternoon/early evening. Please get in touch to find out which unit will suit your availability.
