Do you have strong DIY skills and a couple of hours to spare some weeks to help keep our women's refuge in good order?

We provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment for women and their children who have fled domestic abuse and are looking for a volunteer who can come along on an occasional basis to carry out general basic maintenance and DIY tasks. These could include putting up curtain poles, assembling flat packed furniture, mowing the lawn or unblocking a sink! So if you can turn your hand to most things, are available one to two hours each week or fortnight on an ad hoc basis during Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm then please get in touch

What skills do I need?

Experience of undertaking a range of DIY tasks, basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry etc
