Here at The Workshop, we support young people aged 18-24 to get ‘work-ready’. We offer CV writing help, support to apply for training, apprenticeships and government initiatives, and we work with local organisations and businesses to offer inspirational workshops to help young people present themselves in the best way possible to potential employers.

We’re based right in the centre of The Square in Camberley (opposite TK Maxx), but the staff budget is tiny and tight and we’re having to close every lunchtime, missing potential opportunities to support young people as they walk past (or their families) during the busy lunchtime period.

We would love to have a volunteer (or a few working as and when possible) to work from 12pm to 2pm, Monday’s to Friday’s. You would be an approachable presence in the hub, alongside a staff member, and would greet any walk-ins with a friendly manner, explain what we do here, and show them how to register with our service.

What skills do I need?

You'll be friendly, approachable, outgoing and comfortable talking to all ages from 16 to 99!
