We run an outreach van called Wings of Warmth in the Surrey area and are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to come out with us and serve the homeless and people in need. We hand out hot drinks, snacks and clothing and help people get the support they need. We never go out alone -- there has to be a miniumn of two people in the van and a maximum of three. Full training is supplied.
Skills required as as follows:
position one: driver Requires clean driving licence and experience of driving larger vehicles.
Position two: serving post You do not need to be a driver for this post. Good communication skills Friendly and warm disposition Able to make instant hot drinks Able to follow our hygeine and safety rules Able to take down people's details either on a phone, tablet or paper Able to stand in the back of the van (will also have seating) for at least an hour if it's busy.

We have to work around our volunteers' work times and very happy to do so. We are very flexible and should be able to accommodate most times.
