As Receptionist you are will manage our ‘front–of-house and be the first point of contact for clients and visitors.  Duties will include welcoming clients and visitors, explaining waiting times and procedures, providing information about the Citizens Advice service, collecting client information, looking up clients on our computer system and preparing records for advisers.  You will also monitor and record phone messages on our systems and refer or take messages as appropriate, create, maintain and archive paper and electronic filing systems in accordance with our systems and procedures and liaise with advice staff regarding support for individual clients.

We are a local charity that helps people resolve the legal problems they face including issues with debt, welfare benefits, housing, employment, relationship breakdown, consumer issues and immigration.  We do this by providing free, independent and confidential advice and by influencing policy makers. Our service is delivered Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. 

What skills do I need?

Confidentiality and respect are key requirements as is a warm and approachable manner and some experience of using computers.  Full training will be given and you will be joining a friendly, supportive team.
