Do you want to help improve kennel grounds for rescued dogs? We are new owners of the 60 acre site and we have a small team working two days a week on projects to improve the environment for them.  We need volunteers to help with the latest project, there is lots to do and there is something for everyone.

Activities available are general gardening and land clearance which could include: cutting trees; clearing ivy; brambles; nettles; rubbish or rubble.  Planting trees; woodland and grass land flora.

We are also looking for flood defence knowledge and practical help to dig and clear flood trenches. We need help occasionally erecting or repairing fences and taking rubbish to the recycle Centre and with general building repair and decoration of kennels.

The environment for the dogs is so important and you will know that you are helping to give them good space to enjoy their time with us which for some could be years.

Social distancing inherent in all team tasks, though pairs can occur if bubbled individuals or masks worn.

What skills do I need?

Volunteers must be over 18, physically fit and wear outdoor clothing suitable for completing the activities safely.

Ability to use hand tools and gardening equipment.
