Each Scout group has an Executive Committee made up of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and ordinary committee members (some have designated roles such as fund raiser, social media). The Executive Committee supports the leaders deliver exciting, adventurous activity to Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. They do this by looking after the groups assets, be that a building, meeting place, camping equipment or activities equipment. They look after the group's finances, help raise funds, through fund raising activities, fetes quizzes. They also ensure the group is run correctly and safely.
Meetings a couple of times a year.
We welcome people from all walks of life who bring their own life experiences and skills. A good dose of common sense is most important, along with an enquiring mind.
Training is provided free by the Scout Association, which can be done on line and in many cases is transferrable to the workplace and recognised by employers.
Committee Meetings are usually in the evening between 7.30 pm and 9 pm and held every other month
