The Surrey Heath Show is an annual charitable event held at Frimley Lodge Park in May, designed to offer interest and fun to all the family whilst raising vital funds for the local community groups. It hosts the usual perennial favorites such as the companion dog show, Punch & Judy, children's rides, classic cars, military vehicles and arena events. It is great fun and a popular day out but only works through the hours put in by volunteers.
We are looking for new members to join our committee to help with the organisation of the show and bring in new ideas and enthusiasm. We usually meet monthly from September to July at the Scout hut at Frimley Lodge Park for an hour or so during the day. Volunteers not able to make the meetings can still be involved in the organisation, something for everyone, so get in touch to find out more.
Planning for the show starts in the autumn building up to the show day in May. Then after promoting the funds available on local media we review all applications from local groups in July and decide who the monies will be allocated to.
We are actively seeking new members for our committee to assist in the organisation and smooth running of the show. The committee meets monthly between September and May. If you have a passion to help your local community and are willing and able to get involved please contact us.
Suitable skills are PTA, office/work skills, retired people with experience, enthusiasm and energy!
No additional details recorded for this opportunity.
Meetings are held once a month between September and May usually on a Wednesday morning, currently by Zoom.
