Role Purpose: To administer and control the financial activities of Surrey County Badminton Association. Main Duties could include:
Annually: Prepare annual budget for the start of each season (with the help of other officers and committees). Prepare annual accounts and report, and arrange for audit prior to the Annual General Meeting. Attend Annual General Meeting to present annual accounts and report.
Quarterly: Attend quarterly finance committee meetings to report on actual income and expenditure against budget Monthly. Obtain bank statements and reconcile with the Treasurer's County accounts Occasional. Attend two Council meetings per season to report on actual income and expenditure against budget
Regular. Record all physical and electronic transactions in the Treasurer's County accounts. Prepare and dispatch cheques in settlement of invoices. Bank all incoming cheques and monies. Monitor cash flows to ensure that a sufficient balance is available in the current account to meet cheques and other payments and that excess balances are invested or placed on deposit.
Financial and administrative skills but no formal qualification. Computer literate.
