We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. At Citizens Advice we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. Now, more than ever, people need our advice.
Citizens Advice Mole Valley is now seeking at least one new Trustee to join our Board. We have a specific gap for someone to help reinvigorate the charitable fundraising for our organisation and are therefore particularly interested in people with fundraising / marketing / digital communications experience.
We are open to prospective Trustees from any background who will bring a fresh perspective and good judgement to the Board. As important as any skills and experience is a commitment to the aims and values of Citizens Advice Mole Valley. We therefore actively encourage applications from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences, including candidates hoping to secure their first Trusteeship.
You will gain new skills, experiences, and the opportunity to meet some interesting people. The estimated time commitment for this role is at least 4 hours per month.
No specific qualifications are required to be a Trustee. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience who are passionate about supporting our charity and who can bring innovative ideas, unique perspectives and good judgement.
Minimum of 4 hours per month but on average local Citizens Advice trustees spend around 8.5 hours every month undertaking trustee business. Our Trustee Board meets every other month in the evening. Outside of meetings, trustees may be required to give additional support, such as working with members of staff on key projects (such as budgeting, recruitment or communications).
