Have you enjoyed volunteering during Covid 19? Do you want to keep helping your community? Every year our volunteers support more than 130 families in Woking and Runnymede, giving crucial help that allows them to give their children the best possible start in life. Every family faces difficulties and we support families with young children when they need us the most.
Our trustees are an enthusiastic, dedicated team of local people whose role is to provide good leadership and effective governance of the charity. We need people who want to make a difference to their local community to volunteer with us. If you have skills in teaching, social care, marketing, HR or business we would welcome your expertise.
Last year we helped 200 children. As one our trustees you could help us to help bring other vulnerable children out of lockdown, back into education and social activities and back on track to reach their developmental milestones.
A trustee must be in sympathy with the aims of the charity and have a desire to work to make a difference to families going through difficult times. No special qualifications are required, however you should be able to work as part of a team and be willing to learn about the roles and responsibilities of a trustee and how you can contribute to the future success of Home-Start Runnymede & Woking. A sense of humour is also helpful.
