Home-Start offers support, friendship, emotional and practical help to parents and carers with young children in local communities throughout the United Kingdom.
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Trustee with an interest in assisting our organisation which supports local families.
These are the specific responsibilities for this role:-
· Health & Safety policies and procedures within the HSE offices / building
· Wellbeing of HSE staff
· Recruitment policies & procedures
· Ensuring good practice HR processes are in place
· Performance & Pay policies
· Diversity, Fairness and Inclusion policies, measures & compliance
In addition to the above, all trustees have the following joint responsibilities:-
· Supporting the Scheme Manager & team
· Acting as an ambassador for HSE
· Engaging in strategic & financial planning.
· Engaging in sound risk management and policy compliance
· Approving HSE services and activities.
· A strong personal commitment to the aims, objectives and ethos of Home Start and the strategic objectives of HSE
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Experience of governance and working at a senior management level
· A strong track record of personal achievement
· Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate staff and volunteers and bring people together
· Strong people management skills
· Experience in HR policies & processes
