Forest Estate Community Hub are looking for volunteers to help at their Honey Bee Cafe on Thursday mornings, which includes a play zone for under 5s. This is a great fit for someone keen to support a leading community group, particularly anyone with existing experience of working in a cafe environment, although enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition are priorities.
Aside from helping to create a warm and friendly environment for cafe users, wider tasks will include:
Assisting to set up and set down of cafe area including under 5's play zone, table top
activities and computer area
Being an active and supportive team member, contributing in a constructive manner and
treating all Hub visitors, customers and team members with fairness and courtesy
Engage with and encourage adults and children to participate in the games and activities
provided
Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
Ensure that tables and surrounding area are clean and tidy
Serving beverages and snacks as required
Assisting with cleaning duties in the kitchen
Sharing information about the Hub and its activities and services
Demonstrate an understanding of keeping a food environment scrupulously clean
Work
within strict health and safety guidelines
