We would like to give befriending support to Carers, enabling them to benefit from friendly support and someone to just check in on their well-being. Calls could last anything from 10 minutes to half and hour and you will ensure you can listen with understanding and patience and then respond appropriately.
• Access to a laptop or PC and willingness to connect to cloud-based telephone app and rostering system • DBS General caring skills which will include: • Patience • Sense of humour • Listening skills • Adaptability • Discretion • Honesty and reliability • Confidentiality
We ask for commitment of anything from 1-5 days per week, depending on what suits you. We can work around times that you are available so mornings or afternoons only will be fine.
