As you will be aware, the Covid 19 pandemic is putting our NHS services under immense pressure.  At St. Peter’s Hospital Trust in Chertsey we are reaching out for volunteers to assist  in the Emergency Department with easing these pressures.

Volunteers are acting as runners, stocking up the scrubs shelf and making tea and coffee for patients, they need to be aware they will come into contact with patients who have tested positive for covid-19.

Volunteers will be provided with the necessary PPE to protect them throughout their shift.

Some roles for a 3-4 hours a couple of days a week to hand out clean scrubs and laundry bags.

Existing DBS favourable but may not be necessary.

What skills do I need?

We are requesting that volunteers are in good health as they may come into contact with Covid 19 positive patients. Volunteers will be provided with the necessary PPE to protect them throughout their shift.
