Daybreak is a respite day service at St Peters Church Hall in Staines for older folks with health conditions, which make it difficult for them to get out. The service also provides respite for those who have relatives or carers looking after them.
No qualifications are needed, just an ability to respect the dignity of our guests and patience if they are struggling, as one or two have dementia. It wil be a great oppurtunity to gain some skills as well as developing your own confidence. We aim to give our guests a lovely lunch, refreshments and a stimulating day of entertainment, activities and company. We have a great team of volunters, who you would be part of and be well supported by the team & Sally our Manager. Our team vary in ages and always have fun our selves, whilst having the reward of knowing that you have contributed to giving our guests a great day out and made an invaluable contribution to the community. It is not necessary to be available for the whole day nor commit to every week, although that is the ideal.
