We have exciting weekend opportunities for volunteers to help out with our children’s services at a diverse range of events. These can include theatre trips, climbing, skiing, cooking, arts and crafts plus many others.

The events are held all over Surrey and we would ask for a commitment of one or two events a month

The role involves assisting children and young people with vision impairment and their siblings at events, which includes setting up and clearing away.

The Recreation Team will provide ongoing training, carried out in a relaxed evening session that would include sighted guide training. (Please note you will not be expected to undertake personal care)

You will be an important part of the Sight for Surrey Children and Young People's Service (CYPS) Team.  We will pay mileage for events at 40p/mile and supply you with a uniform.

You will be required to complete an application form along with 2 references, a DBS check and an interview.
