The Amigo Project matches volunteers with people who require support to move forward on their journey of recovery from mental ill health.

They will help them to make connections with local community activities whilst helping them to boost their confidence and motivation.

The volunteer buddy will be trained, managed and fully supported by us.

Opportunities to volunteer are available during the daytime and evenings/weekends across Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, West Elmbridge and Woking.

What skills do I need?

Our volunteers will need to:

  • Domestic Abuse, Rape and Sexual Abuse
  • Employment, Education and Training
  • Families and Parenting
  • Health and Hospices
  • Homeless and Housing
  • Mental Health
  • Older People
  • Prisoners & Ex-Offenders
  • Substance Misuse and Addiction
  • Veterans and Armed Forces
  • Befriending & Buddying

Availability Details

Volunteering for Amigo is flexible - we require volunteers at all times of the week. Typically volunteers will give between 1-4 hours per week to volunteering, but again, this is flexible.
