We have a small craft workshop in Ashtead and are looking for volunteers who could support our young people with learning disabilities to make small items such as bird boxes or gardening trugs.
It would involve supporting one or two young people whilst also being a social activity – tea and biscuits provided!
We are also keen to recycle or upcycle donated objects – and we can sell our products in our charity shop in Dorking (Re-Use It 62a West Street).
Our young people have many skills and just need some support to further develop their abilities. We are a charity providing leisure and supported employment opportunities for young people with a learning disability in Mole Valley. The workshop address is Phoenix House, Overdale, Ashtead KT21 1PW
General woodworking skills would be needed and the ability to relate to young people with a learning disability.
We are flexible in times and how often the volunteer can attend.
