Each year, prior to Christmas we take our Christmas Float with Santa, around the streets of Godstone, South Godstone, Bletchingley and Caterham Village.

We also have static collections at supermarkets and garden centres.

This is a massive undertaking and we are grateful to the many friends of COGs who support us at this time of year.  The volunteer role involves accompanying the float, knocking on doors with a collection tin and explaining where our donated money is used.

For this the Club would provide you with a Lions Tabard, collection tin and Christmas card to hand to people who donate or to put through a letterbox.

Volunteers would need to bring their own torch and suitable clothing.

Collections start around 4th December each year and finish around the 21st depending on the day of the week Christmas day falls.

What skills do I need?

Must be physically capable of the task, be able to represent the Club to the public in a polite and friendly manor and have a good sense of humour.
